BPW Greater Sudbury Recognizes Lisette Wirta For Her Achievements In Building A Successful Business Out Of A Devastating Life Experience.

Woman of the Month - Lisette Wirta Home Instead January 2017

Lisette is the owner of Home Instead one of the largest non-medical home care companies that enables seniors to remain independent in their homes while providing home care services with compassion and professionalism to clients.

Lisette understands first handedly the impact of helping people live comfortably after her husband was injured in a snow mobile accident in 2008. Lisette made the difficult decision to leave her job in order to care for her husband throughout his recovery. She quickly realized how difficult it was to find dependable home care and after careful consideration Lisette decided to become a franchise owner of a renowned home care company. Since her journey in 2009 she has grown her business from a single employee to 100 employees. She has been the driving force in initiating and implementing internationally renowned training standards in specialized areas like Alzheimer’s Disease. Furthermore, Lisette has secured contracts with the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC), offering in-home respite care to Alzheimer’s patients and their families and has been recognized with the Presidential Achievement award within the Home Instead franchise.

Lisette is always active in her community and is proud to be part of the Sudbury and Elliot Lake Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Sunrisers; Participates in the Be a Santa to a Senior, the Ontario and Canadian Home Care Associations and she sits on the board of the Brain Injury Association as well as the BPW Sudbury Board.

“Transforming a tragedy into a successful story takes a very strong women and Lisette has shown her ability to be an inspiration to others”, Carol Stahl President of BPW Sudbury expressed.
