BPW Greater Sudbury Celebrates Charmaine Kennedy, Owner of Tree of Life North Complementary Healing Center for her Commitment to Wellness and Community Support.

After experiencing her own journey to health and happiness, Charmaine Kennedy understands that sometimes people need more than a traditional healing approach when faced with life challenges. About six years ago, Charmaine decided to embark on a journey of entrepreneurship to create a safe, welcoming, non-judgemental and healing environment that would aim to support people in their journey to health and happiness. Charmaine founded Tree of Life North Complementary Healing Center where she along side a group of talented practitioners offer people a variety of complementary services that aim to enhance their medical, surgical, psychiatric, physiotherapeutic and complement their other healing modalities. The goal of her business is to encourage people to take charge of their recovery and healing journeys in a way that works best for them.

While Charmaine has been busy in the past six years, evolving her business to suit the needs of her clients, she also regularly volunteers her services to the Maison McCulloch Hospice providing Reiki services for residents, family members, staff and volunteers. Charmaine has also been a committed community volunteer and has offered and provided her services to many locally run organizations and causes, as with her work as a past Board of Directors member for the Elizabeth Fry Society and as with her past work with Sudbury Sexual Assault Centre. Her business also contributes regularly to community organizations such as: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Edgar Burton Christmas Food Drive and the Sudbury Women’s Center.

Recently profiled in Talent North Magazine, Charmaine is proud of her mission to bring products and services along with a dedicated and strong team of healing practitioners into the lives of people, enabling people to choose their healing path and experience healing in new and exciting ways.

“Women like Charmaine work hard to create a safe and welcoming environment for people from all walks of life. Charmaine is courageous to explore and offer alternative treatments, while also contributing to and supporting community organizations. Her work and continued commitment to empowering people is commendable.” Marianne Matichuk, BPW Greater Sudbury President stated.
