Many thanks to all members and guest who joined us last night.  Regional Business Centre along with partners made it a very interesting evening.

We received much information on what to do when starting a business, on growing the business we have, writing a business plan etc…   all very good information for busy professional women in Sudbury!

February International Night

The evening was an awesome event with Stephanie Piche and Legacy Events providing  us with a spectacular meal, each course represented typical foo…d from different countries and each of them were absolutely delicious! And that was just the beginning of evening as Tara Hurley had a full evening of events for International Night.

Pauline Loyer from Village International spoke to us about the women that makes the wares that are available for sale at their shop. She explained to us about fair trade and shared stories about the non-profit organization and the good that it does. Pauline brought with her a special guest, a beautiful young student who performed for us with techniques in belly dance and Egyptian dance.

Tara then read a letter from our International President followed by a very impressive candle lighting ceremony. As Tara read the different countries around the world that are part of BPW, members from each table lit a series of different coloured candles representing those countries.

All in all it was a lovely evening, and it left me feeling that I belong to a very powerful organization and proud to be a member. Thank you Tara for your hard work.
